Prepare the Full-lace Wig

Place the wig on the wearer’s head and line up the sideburns with the natural hairline. Once the wearer decides where the hairline should be, use eyeliner to mark the area by putting small dots on the wearer’s skin at the hairline of the wig. Next, place a bobby pin in the center of the front of the full lace wig. This helps locate the proper placement when the wig is adhered to the skin.

Remove the wig and begin to cut away the excess lace from the cap. Either leave a quarter inch of lace around the edge or cut away the lace all the way to the beginning of the hairline, based on personal preference. Cut slowly and in small sections, and be sure not to cut off any hair.
